Scrub the chopping board with a paste of bi-carbonate of soda, salt and water, then rinse and dry. You can add vinegar and lemon juice for an extra cleaning dose. Use a stiff brush to scrub food and stains from the surface. Now and again you can apply mineral oil to the dry surface of the board and let it soak in for a few hours, wipe the excess oil off and this will help to preserve the board.
